Morris Giese

Morris L. Giese, 92, of Wausau, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice. He was born on June 7, 1918 to the late Otto and Edna (Delenbach) Giese in Wausau. On May 17, 1947 he married the former Lorraine Kramer in Wausau. Morris was a simple man known for his kindness and gentleness. He was life-long resident of Wausau and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and going to the casino. His cat Puffy gave him companionship and enjoyment. Morris served his country in the Army and was stationed in Europe during World War II.
Morris is survived by his daughters, Mary Romanowski (Dave Poverski) and Susan Uchimura; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and friend, Karl Schultz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; his parents; and special friend, Marge Kramer.
Private family services took place on Monday, November 22, 2010 at Helke Funeral Home. Fr. Gerald Pehler, OFM Cap. officiated. Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Park.
