Marguerite Thiel

January 2, 1922 — February 11, 2013

Marguerite "Marge" Thiel, 91, of Wausau passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at Marywood Center under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born January 2, 1922 in Colby to the late William and Mary (Dietsche) Brill. On March 2, 1946, Marge married Victor Thiel in Colby. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1997. Marge was a homemaker and will be remembered for the love she had for her family, especially for the grandchildren and her great grandchildren whom she loved to baby sit. Marge enjoyed life with gardening, walking, music, an avid reader, and doing cross word puzzles. She was a member of St. Anne's Fatima Council for many years. Her love of church and family always came first.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Lemke of Leesburg, Fl., her son, Richard (Sandra) Thiel of Wausau, five grandchildren, Kim (Mandy) Lemke, Rebecca (Paul Huser) Lemke, Jennie Thiel, Jamie (Travis) Pingel, Jonathon (Charlotte Bambrough) Thiel, eight great grandchildren, Victoria Lemke, Cheyenne Laatsch, Madeline Lemke, Mercedes, Noah, Pierce and Isaiah Thiel and Chase Pingel, two sisters, Frances Hall of Illinois, Shirley (Guido) Barnoli of California and two brothers, William (Edna) Brill of Virginia and Matthew (Tomiko) Brill of California. Marge was further preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Thiel, granddaughter, Jody Thiel, two brothers, Benjamin and Anthony Brill, one sister, Marie Whitacre and son-in-law, Robert Lemke.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Church of St. Anne, 710 N. 6th Ave., Wausau. Father Jeff Hennes will officiate. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
