Lenore Rusch

Lenore A Rusch, 85, Wausau, passed away Friday September 27, 2013 at Aspirus Hospital, Wausau surrounded by family.

She was born July 27, 1928 in Wausau to the late William and Anna (Janke) Pruss. On September 17, 1949 she married Cyrus Rusch at St Johns Lutheran Church, Town of Hamburg. Lenore was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved being around her family. She enjoyed playing cards with the ladies and was a great homemaker; she also worked at JC Penny's for many years. She had a wonderful spirit, a sense of humor and was an inspiration to her family and friends.

Survivors include four children, Connie (Robert) Kamke, Robin Rusch, Candace (Steven) Brandenburg and Scott (Lori) Rusch; seven grandchildren, Becky (Brad) Kamke, Brian (Anne) Kamke, Lisa (fiancé, John) Kamke, Matthew Brandenburg, Brooke (fiancé, Kellen) Brandenburg, Kimberly (Tyler) Kiedrowski and Allison Rusch; three great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Elaina and Kendall Kamke; three brothers, Wilbert (Jeanette) Pruss, Harold (Audrey) Pruss and Dale (Audrey) Pruss and sister-in-law, Barbara Pruss; brother-in-law, Leroy Rusch; brother-in-law, Gary Rusch and sister-in-law, Jean Wisnewski. Lenore was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus; two brothers, Earl and Vernon; three sisters, Doris Krueger, Mildred Utech and Valeria Harder.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Ave, Wausau. Reverend Zach Holdorf will officiate. Visitation will be at Helke Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Mausoleum.
