Vickie Ginsburg of Wausau, WI, age 74, passed away on March 2, 2026 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by her loving family, after battling health issues for several years. She was born on September 17, 1951 in Danville, Virginia, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Bonton) Pelz. Vickie was the eldest of five children.

She was married for twenty-five years to Ronald J. Knetter in Edgar, WI.

Vickie was a fierce and devoted wife, mother, stepmother, sister, Nana, and Great Nana whose love for her family knew no bounds. Her family was her greatest strength and her proudest joy. She cared deeply for those she loved, and her happiest moments were always spent surrounded by family - laughing, sharing stories, and creating memories that will be cherished forever, especially all of us dancing in the kitchen.

On July 22, 2007, she married Steven Ginsburg of Wausau, WI, resulting for both of them in a beautifully happy and successful second marriage.

In her earlier years, Vickie was an active and engaged member of her community, generously giving her time and talents to various organizations. Her dedication and strong work ethic carried throughout her life. After remarrying and moving to Wausau, she continued her successful career as a pharmacy technician, a role she held with pride and commitment until her retirement.She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Steven, her children Christina (Travis) Dobizl and April (Tyler) Smith, step-children Lisa (Tim) Wiencek and David Ginsburg, grandchildren Mariah (Eric Myszka) Kohl, Rebecca (Geoff Framke) Kohl, Christopher Kohl, and Connor Smith, step-granddaughter Luna Wiencek, step-grandchildren Shannon (Jodi Jean LaForge) Devine, CJ (Jackii) Smith, Austin Paszek, Rylee (Dustin) Studinski, Ethan Dobizl, great grandson Kolton Myszka, step-great granddaughters Edyn Smith, Maisie and Chesney Framke, and Calliope Studinski, brother Wayne (Cheryl) Pelz, sister Deborah (Curtis) Boyd, and brothers Robert (Virginia) Pelz and Brian Pelz, along with many nieces and nephews.

Vickie will be remembered for her strength, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Great Thanks go to Aspirus Wausau Hospital and their wonderful staff for taking such great care of her and all of us during her final hospitalization.

A Memorial Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, on Monday March 16, 2026, at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St, Wausau, WI 54401, led by Tyler Smith. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to the time of service at the funeral home.
