After graduation he worked as a design engineer at Oshkosh Truck Company until 1994, then served as a process engineer and process engineering supervisor with A & B Process Systems in Stratford, WI, through 2019. From 2019 to 2020 he was a senior process engineer for CRB in Marshfield, WI, before joining Membrane Process & Control as a senior process engineer and project manager. He married Lynne Hoffmann at Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Wausau on June 10, 1995.

Todd's true passion was engineering. He thought of his job as more than work but a way to show his talents of creativity. Even when not working, he often spent his time creating items around the house. This included a greenhouse and, in the days before his death, tip‑downs for ice fishing. He further enjoyed every second he could in the woods and on the water. He had countless stories of times spent fishing with his father-in-law, father, sons, high school friends, and his coworkers. He had a passion for hunting, not only for the trophy buck, but the opportunity to enjoy God's outdoor creations. His favorite outdoor activities were bow hunting in Three Lakes, salmon fishing in Baileys Harbor, and fishing in Canada with his friends. He enjoyed playing his Gibson Les Paul, often pretending he was a member of the band Rush.

Todd is survived by his wife Lynne; two sons Nathan (Allison Samuel) of Verona and Zachary of Rib Mountain; one brother Scott (Dawn) of Rothschild; parents William & Rose of Rib Mountain; and his dog companion Molly. He is preceded in death by his beloved dog Lily. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, a sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, and friends.
