Shirley Thompson, 77, of Wausau , died Thursday June 19, 2008 at Wausau Manor.

Survivors include her husband Earl of Wausau, 3 sons; John (Linda) Emerich of Cary, IL, Gary (Barbara) Emerich of Merrill, Patrick (Beryl) Emerich of Athens; one daughter, Cathy Burrows of Merrill; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one step-son, Daniel (Karen) Thompson of Mosinee; one step-daughter, Sandra (Henry) Yach of Wausau; 5 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Reinhart (Sally) Peterson of Tomahawk, Thomas (Marsha) Peterson of Eagan, MN; and 3 sisters, Jane Heath of Merrill, Betty Grefe, of Merrill, and Carol (Tony) Garcia of Merrill .

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday June 24, 2008 at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau . Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park . Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
