Sharon Schedler peacefully joined her husband, Robert (Bob) in the loving arms of her Lord on January 28, 2026.
Born just half an hour after her twin sister, Shirley, on November 20, 1935, in Athens, Wisconsin, Sharon was the daughter of Fred and Lorna Mootz. She grew up in Athens, where she attended school and formed lifelong friendships.
On February 5, 1955, Sharon and Bob were married. Together they built their home and family in Wausau. Sharon was a devoted wife, a kind and nurturing mother, and the heart of her household. She found great joy in a home filled with the laughter and warmth of family gatherings.
Sharon enjoyed her close-knit circle of friends, including her lifelong card-playing group from the Athens area. She was an active participant in a women's Bible study at St. Mark's, where her faith and friendships deepened. In her later years, she appreciated the caring staff and welcoming community at Athenian Living, where she spent her final year surrounded by comfort and companionship.
Sharon is survived by her sister, Shirley (Robert) Huebner; her children, Mark (Stacia) Schedler of Eagan, MN, David (Janet) Schedler of Oshkosh, WI, Bruce Schedler of Wausau, and Beth (Brian) Bisgrove of Wausau; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and her parents, Fred and Lorna Mootz, Daughter-in-law: Charlotte Schedler.
Sharon's legacy lives on in the love she poured into her family, the friendships she nurtured, and the quiet faith that guided her life. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
