Ronald Johnson

Ronald M. Johnson, 83, of Wausau passed away on Sunday March 17, 2019 at Our House Assisted Living, Wausau.  He was born on January 10, 1936 in Wausau to the late Milburn and LaVerne (Gehrke) Johnson. On November 11, 1972 Ronald married Shirley K. Dey in New London.

He served in the Army Reserve and worked as a laborer in Wausau. In his free time, he enjoyed taking care of his yard and was always ready to play a game whether it was a board game, cards, or basketball and baseball.

He is survived by his wife Shirley of 46 years; son, Paul (Angel) Johnson, Woodruff; 3 granddaughters; 9 great grandchildren; sister JoAnne Hodgson, Mequon; sister-in-law Karen Hodel, Manawa; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronald Was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Lou Weise.  Per Ronald’s wishes, he will be cremated with no attending services. His wife and family would like to thank everyone who helped over the years or just remembered to say a prayer.
