It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Partridge, who left us on June 26, 2025.
Richard was born on September 19, 1947 in Emporia, Kansas to the late Henry and Amy (Gaines) Partridge. A proud Navy veteran, Richard served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. His commitment to service extended beyond the battlefield; as a Commander of the VFW Honor Guard, he paid tribute to fellow veterans and honored their sacrifices with dignity and respect. Richard's community involvement also included his membership in the Lions Group, where he forged lasting friendships and contributed to the betterment of those around him.
Richard was united in marriage to Doreene Callard on April 20, 1966, in Beeville, Texas. Together, they built a loving life filled with memories, laughter, and adventure. Richard's love for Doreene was evident in all that he did, and he was a source of strength and support for her throughout their journey together.
As a construction worker for Atlantic Group, Richard valued hard work and dedication, qualities that he carried into all aspects of his life. Beyond work and service, he found joy in the great outdoors, relishing moments spent fishing and camping. Additionally, his passion for genealogy allowed him to connect with his family's past, sharing stories and traditions with loved ones.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Doreene Partridge; children, Mark (Elaine) Partridge and Amy (Mark) Schleinz; grandchildren, Crystal (Matthew) Buchholtz, Justin (Johanna) Partridge, Brittney (Chad) Branum, Hawley (Justin) Green, Remington Schleinz, Madison Schleinz, and Bailey Schleinz; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Paul (Millie) Partridge, Henry (Maria) Partridge and Pamela Warren
