Marlene Passed away on June 26th, 2024 in her home, due to health reasons. She was born on May 15th, 1949 in Wausau to Kermit and Esther (Seehofer) Wilde. Marlene grew up on the family farm, with seven brothers and sisters in the town of Stettin. She attended a one room school house with the six siblings. She graduated from Wausau East High. She had several jobs, the longest as a Clerk at Aspirus Hospital for 33 years. Marlene love was for music, she sang in many choirs, and also for weddings over the years. She loved baking, and giving what she baked to others, the church, neighbors, and children she saw outside, she loved to give, any time she visited someone, there was always a gift to be given. She was also a strong plant lover as was her mother.
She is survived by her brother David in Wausau, and her sister Beverly (Jim) stone in Stewartville MN, with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers, Dale and Wayne, and sisters Delphine, Sharon, and Beatrice.
A celebration of Marlene’s life will be held August 10th at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1101 Elm Street, Wausau. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of the memorial service at 10:00. We welcome all in attendance to join us with light refreshments and fellowship to follow.
