Mark A. Withers, 57, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026. He was born in Wisconsin Rapids on April 26, 1968.
Mark had an immense love for the Green Bay Packers. Coffee outings with his buddies were among his favorite rituals, with cherished visits to local spots such as Log Cabin, Tri-City, Eagle's Nest, and Red Apple, where laughter and meaningful conversations filled the air.
Mark had a unique talent for capturing the essence of homes, especially log cabins, through his drawings. He also had an appreciation for cars and trucks, particularly Chevys. Mark found purpose in helping others, having taken on the responsibility of driving for the Wausau Daily Herald and transporting patients to their medical appointments-a testament to his heart of gold.
Mark is survived by his mother, Aloha Knetter-Eckes; siblings, Ed Withers, Lona Withers, Lee Withers, Keith (Laurie) Withers, and Mark Knetter; and many nieces, nephews, and coffee buddies Becca and many others. He is preceded in death by his father, Levi Withers; and stepfathers, Jim and Darrell.
A service for Mark will be held at a later date.
We wish to thank all of Aspirus Hospice for their help and care.
