Kathryn Elaine Solchenberger, age 79, was born in Eureka, Kansas, on February 5, 1947, to Claude and Gladys Gibson. She graduated from high school in Eureka and married her first husband and moved to California. She had three boys and a girl. Her first marriage ended in divorce, and she married her second husband and had another son. She was married two other times. In 2017, she married her current husband, Will. She lived in many places but finally came to Wausau, WI. There she worked as a cook at Forest Park Village.

She is survived by Bob Weems, Milwaukee, Mike Weems, Michigan, Kathy Weems, Oklahoma and Daniel McMullen, Wausau, six grandchildren, four boys and two girls, two of the boys live in Wausau and two other great grandchildren.

Kathryn liked to go by her middle name, Elaine. In the last couple of years, her eyesight progressively got worse and she enjoyed going to the Lion’s camp in Rosholt. For her honeymoon trip, she went to Hawaii, the big island, to visit her husband Will’s cousin. She also enjoyed a trip to Florida to visit the Everglades and Key West, St. Louis to visit her cousin Betty Joe, Branson and Yellowstone.

Per family request, no services will be held.
