June Walraven

C. June Walraven, 86, of Wausau passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at Mt. View Care Center .

Born June 26, 1922 in Rockland , MI to the late Richard and Olga ( Anderson ) Barbera, June married Bob Walraven on January 5, 1946 at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay , Wisconsin .  They recently celebrated their 62 ^nd anniversary.  June enjoyed bowling, playing bridge, and solitaire, working jigsaw and crossword puzzles and also traveling to Alaska , Arizona , & Hawaii with Bob.  June was talented at creating embroidery projects with her own unique designs. She also very much enjoyed reruns of I Love Lucy and Andy Griffith.

Survivors include her husband, Bob of Wausau, one daughter, Nancy Walraven of Mesa, AZ, three sons, Bill (Julie) of Wausau, Don (Sandy) of Seattle, WA, David  Diana) of Chandler, AZ, five grandchildren, Tim, Dan, Faith (Rob) O’Connell, Leanne, and Jacob, three great grandchildren, Elaina, Lauren, & Michael,  and one brother, Bob (Sue) Barbera of Green Bay.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Harley Barbera and one sister, Arlabelle Destiche.

The memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. , Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church , Rothschild.  Reverend Richard Block will officiate.  An open lunch will follow at 12:30 pm at the church. Entombment will be Memorial Chapel Mausoleum at Restlawn Memorial Park .  Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.  Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  Memorials may be directed to Mt.
