Janice "Jan" Ziebell, 82, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, with her loving family by her side.
Jan was born December 5, 1941, to parents Alwin and Adeline Ziebell. She worked for 43 years at First American Bank/M&I. In retirement, she enjoyed baking chocolate cakes in the bakery at 2510. Jan's passion for crafting, volunteering, and church involvement was unwavering, as she spent countless hours sharing her talents and kindness. She particularly enjoyed embroidery and selling her dish towels at craft shows. Jan shared in her faith and was an active member at St. John Lutheran Church in the Town of Maine, where she served as financial secretary for 15 years. Grandma Jan was always there for everyone. She was her family's biggest supporter from basketball games to volleyball games and dance recitals- never missing one. She helped in raising her grandchildren and now great grandchildren. Jan's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Jan is survived by her pride and joy, daughter Jennifer (Clark) Bronsteatter; granddaughters Chelsi (Jake) Knoblock and Kaitlin (Nick) Goslin; great grandchildren Madilynn and Charlie Knoblock.
She is further survived by sisters, Barbara (Darrell) Bahr and Louise (John) Harter; and brother Wayne (Jackie) Ziebell.
Funeral services will be at 10 am on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5304 North 44th Avenue, Wausau. Rev. Maggie Westaby will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9 am until the time of service. Following the service, Jan will be laid to rest in the church cemetery next to her mother and father.
