James "Jim" L. Low

James “Jim” Low, age 69, of Wausau, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, surrounded by love.

Born April 23, 1956, in Milwaukee to the late Arvol and Ellen (Becker) Low, Jim grew up with a lifelong love for the Brewers. But if you knew Jim, you knew that baseball came second to his true passion: His cockatiels—Pierre, Prissy, and Gertie— who were his pride and joy, and he delighted in their company.

Jim worked for Pollywood Fabrications in Wausau for 20 years, where he not only built a career but also met Dena Allen. Together, they shared two decades of laughter, adventures, and memories. In recent years, Jim could be found working in the Walmart produce department. Jim loved to bring joy to those he worked with by wearing festive costumes to work for holidays.

Jim enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing guitar. Above all, he loved time spent with family and friends.

Jim is survived by his fiancé, Dena Allen; his son, Dan (Hillary) Morris; and his grandson, Zachary Morris. He is further survived by his siblings, Roland (Donna) Low and Betty Billeb. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leland Low, and his brother-in-law Greg Billeb.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Rib Mountain Lutheran Church, 227150 Harrier Ave, Wausau. Visitation will take place at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jim’s honor may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Jim’s family extends heartfelt thanks to the palliative care team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the compassion and kindness they shared during his final days.
