Grant "Butch" "Eddie" O. Daniels Jr., age 79, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Grant was born in Milwaukee, WI to the late Grant and Dorothy (Arendt) Daniels.
After graduating high school, Grant had a dedicated career to the United States Postal Service and United States Navy. Grant married Debbie Kreager of Wausau, Wisconsin on October 19, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, in Merrill, WI.
Grant loved to ride his ATV with friends and family or going dancing. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, often traveling to go fishing. He enjoyed playing music around local areas of the community. Grant was always there for his family and would find any reason to get together.
Grant is survived by his wife, Debbie Daniels; sister, Nancy Hindal; aunt, Beverly Wiloff; nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Grant is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Robert Hindal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday March 21, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, N4887 Hwy 17, Bloomville, WI 54435. Father John Long will officiate. Visitation will be held at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St, Wausau, WI 54401, on Saturday March 21, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Military Honors will conclude visitation and begin promptly at 11:15 AM. Directions will be provided from Helke Funeral Home to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Helke Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
