Dorothy "Pat" Patricia Schultheiss

Dorothy “Pat” Patricia Schultheiss, age 95, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, at Primrose Retirement Community of Wausau. Pat was born on April 18, 1931, to Frank and Elizabeth (Schultz) Schael as the tenth of eleven children. After graduation Pat worked at the in the sample division of James River. Pat married the love of her life Louis Schultheiss on October 26, 1974, at Salem Lutheran Church (now St Peter). Louis passed away on December 2, 2017.

Pat enjoyed traveling around the United States, playing bridge with friends, and was a member of the Rib Mountain Ladies Golf League. She always had a story to share about her adventures. Pat was a member of the Wausau Highlanders Curling Club where she was bestowed an Honorary “Green Jacket” Lifetime Membership for 35 years of dedication of service and contribution to the club.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Louis, siblings Franklin Schael, Alyce Kastenschmidt, Lilian Kufalk, Ruth Schael, Evelyn Whippler Russ Glatczak, Ethel Russ, Irene Prain, Robert Schael and an unnamed baby brother that was stillborn. She is survived by her sister Bernice “Mickey” Buckman and many nieces and nephews.

The memorial service for Pat will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wausau.
