Dorothy H. David

Dorothy H. David, Age 82, passed away on October 4, 2025.

Dorothy was born in New London, Wisconsin, on July 24, 1943, to Bernice Klemmer Dailey and Lloyd Dailey, and was adopted in 1950 by Frederick and Gladys Schwingle along with her older biological sister Betty. Dorothy went on to marry Rudolph (Rudy) David on December 28, 1968, and subsequently divorced years later after having two children together.

Dorothy is survived by two children, daughter Tammie McGowan, with her husband Brian McGowan and their daughter Kami McGowan; And son Jason David, his wife Stephanie David. Dorothy's also survived by sister, Betty Schwingle Drab and her husband Joe Drab and their children, grandchildren, as well as many friends and loved ones.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her adoptive parents Frederick and Gladys Schwingle and her stillborn granddaughter Gladys Anna David - McGowan.

A small ceremony will be held at Helke Funeral Home in Wausau Wisconsin Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM following the visitation, starting at 10:00 AM. The ceremony will be conducted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where Dorothy attended prior to her passing. 

Her remains will be laid to rest at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo, Wisconsin, following the ceremony.
