Dorothea A. Woller, age 96, of Wausau and formerly of Tomahawk, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Applegate Terrace.
She was born on October 10, 1929, in Stratford, Wisconsin, to the late Otto and Alma (Natzke) Steidinger. Dorothea attended school in Rib Falls and went on to work her first job at the Edgar Basket Factory.
On October 10, 1950, she was united in marriage to Loyd Woller in Wausau. He preceded her in death in 2010. Loyd and Dorothea moved several times throughout their lives and enjoyed meeting new people. While living in Seattle, Washington, she worked at Boeing Aircraft. As they started their family, she enjoyed being a homemaker and was a loving mother to their son, Rhys. She especially enjoyed spending her free time doing handiwork, particularly needlework.
Dorothea is survived by her beloved son, Rhys Woller; sister-in-law, Carol Steidinger and many other friends and family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd; parents; parents-in-law, Sigmund and Adela (Kasten) Woller; brothers, Arthur (Elaine) Steidinger and Arnold Steidinger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church, 1300 Townline Rd, Wausau, WI with Pastor David Wetmore officiating. Friends and family may greet at the church for a time of visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service with a reception to follow.
Burial will take place at Faith Lutheran Cemetery South in the Town of Maine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dorothea's name to a charity or organization of choice.
