Dellora Lee

September 20, 1922 — January 6, 2008

Dellora "Del" Lee, 85, formerly of Kannenberg Plaza passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau, WI.

She was born September 20, 1922 in Cumberland to the late Harold and Blanche (Dinges) Linder. In her earlier years, Del was a clerk at Kolm's Super Value in Burlington, WI for several years. Del lived in Merrill where she was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church and served on several committees. After moving to Wausau, she helped her sons at their restaurants, including the Log Cabin Restaurant, and the Pine Ridge Restaurant.

As a resident of Kannenberg Plaza, Del will be remembered for her volunteer commitments where she enjoyed spending time beautifying the flower gardens, helping in the kitchen, and involvement in committee activities. Del was awarded a recognition plaque for her involvement in improving the floral gardens and plantings on the property. She always loved to help others. One of her greatest joys was the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen J. Lee of Appleton, Kimberly (Steven) Freund of Wausau, three sons: Jim (Julie) Lee of Wausau, Dean (Sandy) Lee of Mosinee, Douglas Lee of Washington. Del's nine grandchildren include: Rhonda Bradley (TX), Jayme Lee, Josh Lee, Jamison Lee, Jacob Lee, Dina Lee, Felicia and Kirstin Freund, Daniel Lee; and three great grandchildren: Paige Bennett (CA), Dillon Lee(WI), Tyson Ward(FL), and two sisters-in-law, Dee Linder of Ellensburg, Wa, and Mona Linder of Cumberland.

Del was preceded in death by her husband, James, a World War II Veteran; her grandson, Gregory Bradley; two brothers, Maynard and Dick Linder, and one sister, Marilyn Schnacky.

Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2008 at Helke Funeral Home. Wausau. Reverend Jerry Morris of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
