Steven J. Landrath, 55, Wausau, passed away July 31, 2012, at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau.
He was born in West Bend, on August 12, 1956 to Patricia (Genrich) Krueger, and the late James Landrath. Although they were not married, Steven spent 30 years with the love of his life and best friend Julie Fochs. Together they spent a lot of time at their camper located at Monster Hall. He also liked to work on crafts, and wood work with her.
Being outdoors was something that Steven enjoyed. He liked to go deer hunting, fishing, and just do anything outdoors that he could. He also liked to watch Nascar, especially when Matt Kenseth was racing, and the Green Bay Packers. His friends and he would sometimes have two television sets in the same room so they wouldn't miss any of the action when both the Packers and Nascar were on at the same time. Steven will forever be remembered as a wonderful "Puppa". He enjoyed spending time with all kids, but especially his grandkids. Steven worked at Crystal Finishing for four the last four years, until his health didn't allow him to anymore. He was also a carpenter for many years.
With Julie, Steven will be sadly missed by his children, Kyle, and twins, Steven Jr., and Nicole Landrath, all of Wausau; step children, Timothy Fochs, Craig (Kris) Fochs, Dustin (Crystal) Bentz, and Tyler (Whitney) Lemma, all of Wausau; three sisters, Crystal (Charlie) Pasnecker, Wausau, Rebecca Landrath-Jackson, Wausau, and Stacey (Ben Duberstein) Landrath, Edgar; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his Father, he was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Kyleigh and Gavin Fochs.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Pastor Larry Treece will officiate. Visitation will take place from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday August 6, 2012, and again Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service, all at Helke Funeral home.
