Dorothy was born September 23, 1928, the daughter of the late Armand and Dorothy (Covey) Muth. She grew up in Milwaukee, graduated high school, and worked at J.C. Penney distribution. In 1958, she married the love of her life, Finn Koller. They shared 46 years of marriage before his unexpected death on May 9th 2004.
Throughout her life, Dorothy maintained a positive attitude, was full of life, and made sure to enjoy herself. She valued her family and adored her grandchildren. Dorothy and Finn loved to spend time together and retired in Fort Pierce, FL, where they kept busy in their retirement community, combing the beach for shells, and working. At 75 years old, Dorothy retired from QVC, where she had worked during their time in Florida. They moved to the Wausau area in November 2003, to be closer to their family. In her spare time, she greatly enjoyed trips to the casino or hunting for bargains at J.C. Penney.
On Tuesday, May 8th 2012, Dorothy Joanne Koller died under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice, at Poplar Place, Rothschild, with her beloved daughters at her side. She was 83 years old.
Dorothy will be fondly remembered by her two daughters, Beth (Ken) Reilly, Oconomowoc, and Julie (Dennis) Dahlke, Merrill; four grandchildren, Kim (Al) Hickok, Mukwonago, Kevin (fiancée, Joy Harkins) Reilly, Brookfield, Bob (Laurie) Dahlke, Kronenwetter, and Jennifer (Josh) McGraw, Sauk Rapids, MN; and 7 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 11th, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Reverend Robert Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, town of Maine. Family will receive guests, at church, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m., on Friday.
