Ginny Bohm was born July 16th 1922, the daughter of the late Robert Wilhelm and Martha (Seavers) Schmidt. On October 6th 1945, she was united in marriage to Leo Bohm. Together they raised five children and enjoyed all life had to offer.
The most important thing in Ginny's life was her family. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her children and she dedicated her life to making sure those around her were well taken care of and happy. Cross-country family trips will be fondly remembered, where Ginny would make sure everything was packed and food was prepared, allowing everyone else to relax. She was truly a self-sacrificing woman. Ginny was a talented seamstress, enjoyed embroidery, flowers, and especially sketching and drawing.
On April 30th 2012, Virginia "Ginny" H. Bohm, died at Wellington Place, town of Rib Mountain, where she had resided since 2005. She was 89 years old.
She will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Gary (Barbara) Bohm, Wausau, Dale (Karen) Bohm, Marshfield, Gay Ann (Richard) Beilke, Ringle, David (Theresa) Bohm, Orlando, FL, and Terry (Sue) Bohm, Wausau; 8 grandchildren, Michelle (Jeremy) Jacobs, Chad (Corrie) Bohm, Lori (Andy) Natzke, Ryan Bohm, Marie Beilke, Matthew Beilke, Kyle Bohm, and Nathaniel Bohm; and 4 great-grandchildren, Brendan, Jordan, Miles, and Timothy.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, in 2005; and brother, Elwood Schmidt.
A celebration of Ginny's life will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 8th, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. The Reverend Gary Schultz, Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau, will officiate. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Family will receive guests on Tuesday, at the funeral home, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
