Sharon Isakson

Sharon Joan Isakson, 52, Wausau, died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital while battling cancer.

Sharon was born February 13, 1963 in Wausau to Kathryn (Lang) and the late Donald Kratwell. She is a graduate of Wausau West High School. Sharon married the love of her life, Gary Isakson, on May 11, 1983 at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Wausau. The couple was blessed with two children, Matthew and Lori. Sharon worked in the food industry her whole life, most recently for the Wausau School District as a Food Manager for several years.

Sharon was a great mother and kind woman who never met a stranger. Her wonderful sense of humor endeared her to friends and family. She was an excellent scratch cook and baker. Sharon was also very thrifty and creative, making her son and daughter's childhoods memorable. In Sharon's free time you often found her spending time with Gary and their dog, Jasmine. On weekends she would take long walks up north. She liked to visit the casino frequently and often made new friends there.

Sharon is survived by her loving family, husband, Gary; children, Matthew and Lori; siblings, Bob, Bill, Dave, Tom, John, Mary, Terri, Linda, Judy, Patty, Carol, Cathy and Chris; and extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 11am on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Wausau. Father Tom Huff will officiate. Visitation will be from 9am to 11am until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
