Scott Nowak

Scott Nowak will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, passion for classic cars and motorcycles, his unique sense of fashion and his love of music especially playing the drums with his Dad.
He was born November 29, 1961 in Wausau to Richard and Carol (Genrich) Nowak. Scott was a 1980 graduate of DC Everest High School and married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl Peters, on July 30, 1983. He was the first cook at Papillion's Pizza and later at Wausau Mine. Scott then worked at Wausau Homes for 18 years as lead man on the custom line. He enjoyed making venison, creating pizza, playing pool and watching the Packers. He always looked forward to going "Up North" to hunt, fish and just enjoy nature's beauty
On Sunday, March 18, 2012, Scott passed away unexpectedly at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, two children Travis and Whitney, all of Wausau, beloved chocolate lab, Shelby, parents, Dick and Carol Nowak of Gleason, two sisters, Sheri (Jim) Jehn of Weston, Buffy (Ron) Shampo of Wausau, mother-in-law, Mary Ann Peters of Green Bay, nieces and nephews, Preston, Evan, Elli, Isabela, Emerson, Madison, Justin (Heather), Eric, Kaylin, Kyle, Mariana, Jasenia and best friend since grade school, Bobby (Teri) Pitek. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Agnes Nowak, Les and Lillian Genrich and uncle, Jerry Genrich.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Weston. Reverend Ray Connor will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
