Myrtle Lueck

Myrtle M. Lueck, 86, of Rothschild, died Friday, August 28, 2009 at Harmony Terrace Commons under Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services

Myrtle was born December 24, 1922 in the town of Stettin , to the late Fred and Anna (Hoeppner) Mearek. She married Merlin Lueck on December 20, 1941 at the Trinity Lutheran Church , in the town of Stettin . Merlin preceded her in death on August 17, 2007 . Besides being a homemaker, Myrtle worked for the Wausau District School at G.D. Jones for 8 years and 6 years at North Central Technical College . Myrtle enjoyed reading, quilting, knitting, crocheting and flower gardening.

Myrtle is survived by one son Gary Lueck of Birnamwood, two daughters; Kathy (Gary) Donner of Staples, Minn. and Bonnie Schmidt of Rothschild, 7 grandchildren; Michelle Peterson, Jesse Lueck, Todd Donner, Michael Donner, Joshua Schmidt, Matthew Schmidt, and Timothy Schmidt 16 great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law; Louetta Krueger and Eleanor Mearek.

Myrtle was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Gilbert, Norman and Clinton Mearek, and one sister Florence Pyan.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday August 31, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church on Stewart Ave. , Wausau . Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. The Helke Funeral Home, Wausau assisted the family with arrangements.
