Marjorie Schult

January 21, 1928 — February 9, 2014

Marjorie Emily Schult, 86, Wausau, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Benedictine Living Community, Wausau, surrounded by her loving family.

Marjorie was born January 21, 1928 in Wausau to the late Hugo and Frances (Mathwich) Steckling. She married Eldon Schult on June 11, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. The couple welcomed three sons to the family; Tim, Tom and Tad. Marjorie and Eldon celebrated 64 wonderful years together this past June.

Marjorie was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who had a mischievous streak in her. As her boys were growing up, they would often play good natured pranks on each other. Marjorie relished being a grandmother and delighted in every moment spent with her grandchildren. She loved getting out of the house whenever possible; visiting shut-ins from church, trips to the store or even going out for a ride with Eldon. A woman of deep faith, Marjorie was active in the choir, Ladies Guild and Walther League and led it for a time. In her free time she enjoyed going out for walks, knitting and crocheting, camping and visiting their cottage.

Marjorie is survived by her beloved husband, Eldon; sons, Tim (Pat) of Rhinelander, Tom (Kris) of Wausau and Tad of Merrill; grandchildren, Josh Schult of MN, Jake (Jackie) Schult of Chippewa Falls, Kaitlin (Kyle) Haase of Wausau, Brenda Stafford of Rhinelander, Sara (Josh) Keim of Athens, Adam (Barb) Schult of Merrill, Alicia Schult of Deaver Dam, Jordan (Sheila) Schult of Wausau and Ashley Schult of Wausau; 16 great-grandchildren and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Lois Laatsch.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Bruce Lamont will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. You may sign our family guestbook at www.helke.com.

A very special word of thanks goes to the nurses and staff of Benedictine Living Community (formerly Marywood) for their kind and compassionate care of Marjorie for the past seven years.
