Marion Schweigel

December 17, 1931 — April 21, 2009

Marion Schweigel, 77, Weston, died peacefully at home surrounded by her children Tuesday, April 21, 2009.





Marion was born December 17, 1931 in Wausau to the late John and Martha (Beilke) Miller. She grew up in Wausau and graduated from Wausau High School. She worked for 1st Star Bank for over twenty years, first in customer service and later in accounting. Marion married the love of her life Raymond Schweigel on September 8, 1951 in Pine City, MN. The couple were blessed with the births of four children to their family; Sue, Lynn, Diane and Robert. Raymond died February 21, 2001 after spending 49 wonderful years with Marion.





Marion was a very independent woman who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She also loved her pets, more specifically her children’s pets as they were affectionately known as the “granddogs”. Marion enjoyed spending time up north at her place on Lake Nokomis. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards and dice, having dinner with friends, and cheering for the Packers and Badgers football teams. In the past few months of her life, Marion took great pleasure in getting to know and become friends with her new neighbors at Birchwood Highlands.





Marion is survived by her children, Sue (Kevin) Kautza of Antigo, Diane Berens (Joe Kesy) of Bevent, and Robert (Mary) Schweigel; grandchildren, Jared, Shana, Jason, Justin (Abi), Eric, Casey, Cody, and Shane; great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Jaxton, Austin, Topher, Caleb; half-brother, Tim (Linda) Sann of Mosinee; half-sister, Sandy (Chet) Burclaw of Tripoli; special friend, Vern Krueger, and many more extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn.





A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Church of Saint Anne, Wausau. Father Steven Brice will be officiating. There will be visitation beginning at 4:00 PM and lasting until the time of servivces at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 23 at Church of Saint Anne.
