Margaret Surovick

Margaret "Maggie" Surovick of Weston passed away on August 13, 2012.
Maggie was born on October 4, 1927 in Wausau to Richard and Emma Huebner. She attended Grant Elementary and Junior and Senior High in Wausau graduating in 1945. She went thru nurses training at Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago graduating in 1948. Maggie worked at Presbyterian, St. Mary's Isolation Hospital, Wausau , Sacred Heart Hospital, Tomahawk, Memorial Hospital, Wausau, Freeman Clinic, Wausau and the Wausau Medical Center. Maggie retired in 1988.
Maggie enjoyed golfing, gardening, knitting, crocheting, and was an avid reader. Maggie married Joseph "Peg" Surovick on May 2, 1953. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elmyra Borchert and brother, Marvin. Maggie is survived by nieces and nephews and her "sis"-in-law, Ivy Huebner.
Maggie wished to be cremated with her ashes buried next to "Peg" Surovick at Restlawn Memorial Park.
There will be a memorial service at Helke Funeral Home on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Joy Nelson-Jeffers of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
