Lucille Stachoviak, 85, of Wausau passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 23, 1929 in Wausau to the late Frank and Mary (Lazewski) Stachoviak Sr. In her younger years, Lucille babysat and later worked at North Central Health Care and Northern Valley Workshop. She loved listening to Polka music and watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include her sister, Joan (Jerry) Sullivan of Wausau, her brother, Frank (Marjorie) Stachoviak Jr. of Wausau, two goddaughters, Kelly and Nicole Ritchie of Bastrop, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucille was further preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Marguerite and Charles Trempe.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 23, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 611 Stark St., Wausau. Father James Schaefer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau with rosary services at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
