Lorraine Holster

Lorraine Holster, 91, of Wausau passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at Our House Senior Living, Wausau.
She was born October 16, 1920 in Wausau to the late William and Signe (Saeger) Berard. She was a graduate of Wausau Senior High and Marathon County Normal School. Lorraine taught several years in a one room school house in the town of Easton and then was a substitute teacher for the Wausau School District. On June 20, 1942, Lorraine married Robert "Bud" Holster at St. Stephen Lutheran Church and celebrated 68 years of marriage in 2010. Robert and Lorraine were founders of Holster Construction in 1946. They were long time members and volunteers at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. For many years, Lorraine taught Yoga and was a past board member of the YWCA. She also enjoyed volunteering at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.
Survivors include two sons, William of Tampa, FL, Richard (Susan) of Wausau, one daughter, Joy (Carl) Wanta of Wausau, eight grandchildren, Kelly Holster, Christopher (Cathy) Holster, Michael (Leah) Holster and their sons, Ethan and Kaleb, Thomas (Susan) Holster, David (Samantha) Holster and their children, Noah and Myla, and Stuart, Phillip, Elizabeth Wanta, one sister, Eleanor (Garrett "Chub") Van Der Geest of Merrill and sister-in-law, Annie Geurink of Wausau. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Robert, a son Bobby, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Holster, and two brothers, Jack and Jerry Berard.
Funeral services will be Noon, Monday, January 9, 2012 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Gary Froseth will officiate. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
