Lorna Moravec

Lorna Moravec, 90, formerly of Merrill, died Wednesday May 14, 2008 at Marywood Convalescent Center under Comfort Care and Hospice Services.



Lorna was born December 10, 1917 in Dawson, Minn. to the late John and Emma (Oncken) Peterson. She married Joseph Moravec on August 23, 1947 in Milwaukee. Joseph preceded her in death on December 19, 1985. Lorna enjoyed playing piano for church services, collecting family history, and corresponding with relatives and friends.



Survivors include four children; Marilyn (Royse) Cramton of Oak Park, Ill., Dave (Patricia) Moravec of Wausau, Karen Abadeer of Wausau, Jim (Lori) Moravec of South Lake, Tx., and seven grandchildren. Lorna was preceded in death by one brother Gerald.



Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday May 20, 2008 at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Officiating will be the Reverend Freddy McMillan. Burial will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Wi. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.



The family would like to express their appreciation for the excellent and compassionate care provided by the staff at Marywood during Lorna?s stay.
