Joyce E. Radant, 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Wellington Place, Rib Mountain.
She was born January 27, 1924, in Wausau, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Elmer and Elsie (Falk) Burk. She married Harold Radant on August 12, 1944, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1995.
Joyce was an active member of the First Maine Homemaker Club and served as secretary of the Wausau Benevolent Society- Assembly 20 of the Equitable Reserve Association. In addition to all of her crafts, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing cards with the "card club", and growing African violets. She also loved working as a volunteer breakfast cook at the Aspirus Hospice House.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue (Brian) Gantner, Wausau, and Pamela Vick, Lakeville, MN; three sons, Curtis Radant, Steven (Linda) Radant, and Markie Radant, all of Wausau; five grandchildren, Tricia (Richard) Bunten, Duluth, MN, Tracy (Henry)VanZalingen, Calgary, AB, Canada, Brittney Radant, Wausau, Taylor Vick, Minneapolis, MN, and Erin Vick, Lakeville, MN; two step grandchildren, Tim (Vicki) Baumann and Glen (Andrea) Baumann, all of Wausau; three great-grandchildren, Brian and Ben Bunten and Jack VanZalingen; two step great-grandchildren, Skyler Baumann and Ry Baumann; a brother, Roger (Darlene) Burk and a sister, Joan Burk Miller, all of Wausau. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie and a brother, Glen Burk.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2013 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1101 Elm St., Wausau. Reverend Tim Vanden Langenberg will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
