Jerry Rothenberger

Jerry Rothenberger, 67, of Wausau passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Mt. View Care Center.
He was born November 28, 1946 in Wausau to the late Eugene and Jeannette (Bunde) Rothenberger. For many years, Jerry had worked at Northern Valley Workshop. He also helped open up the Red Apple Restaurant in the mornings and loved visiting all his friends there. Jerry enjoyed playing the slots, and in his earlier years going garage sale hopping with his sisters.
Surviving family members include four brothers: Ronald (Johanna) of Wausau, Roger of Beloit, Larry (Pam) of Indianapolis, and Eugene of Ringle and four sisters: Janet (Wes) Radtke of Baraboo, Sylvia Sodke of Wausau, Johanna Powers of Baraboo, Eugenia Rothenberger of Wausau, two half brothers, Fred (Robin) and John Rothenberger all of MN and half sister, Joan (Michael) Kincade of MO. Jerry was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew and sisters, Eva and Shirley Rothenberger.
There will be an open house gathering of friends and relatives to share stories and memories of Jerry from Noon until 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau Burial services will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
