Jeffrey John Spurgeon, 55, of Wausau passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at his home in Wausau.
Jeff was born May 20, 1960, in Antigo, WI son of the late George and Beatrice (Meyer) Spurgeon. He received his education in Antigo, WI and graduated from Antigo High School in the class of 1979. Jeff made his home in Green Bay for a time before moving to Wausau. He later moved to Minnesota where he worked as a farmhand for several years. He married Tina L. Fitzke and they made their home in the Wausau area.
Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, playing cards and helping the local Jaycees shoot off their fireworks.
He is survived by his wife Tina, four siblings, Tim Spurgeon, Steve (Debbie) Spurgeon , Angie Spurgeon and Josie Spurgeon, nieces and nephews, Kimberley (fiancé Joel Hebda) Spurgeon, Katalin Spurgeon and Christopher Spurgeon all of Antigo, and his father-in-law Dale Fitzke of Wausau.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law Deb Spurgeon.
Private family committal services will be held at a later date.
