Jeanette C. "Jan" (nee Hartmann) Roets, 73, Merrill, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2013 at St. Clare's Hospital in Weston. Jan was born on September 17, 1940 in Wausau to Arno and Ella (Rahn) Hartmann.
She worked as a cashier at County Market in Wausau until she retired. Jan was also one of the founders of V&J Household Sales in Wausau. She worked there tirelessly for 15 years at which time the business was sold.
Jan loved spending time with her family, playing cards, playing Bingo, baking, bowling and in her later years, watching birds and other wildlife from her windows. She is going to be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Jan is survived by her children, Brenda (Steve) Karlen-Warren, Weston, Brian Roets, Wausau and Dayne (Brian) Wolf, Weston. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hannah, Hunter, Madison, Lauren and Liam; her sister, Mary Zillman, Wausau; a niece, Sara (Zillman) Meurette and nephew Matt Zillman.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James "Jimmy" Hartmann.
