Hilbert Tessmer, 78, of Wausau passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born May 27, 1938 in Wausau to the late Hilbert and Dorothy (Hoppe) Tessmer. On December 15, 1962 he married Carol Erickson in Wausau. She preceded him in death on November 27, 1997. Hilbert worked for the city of Wausau before retiring.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda (Mark) Steidinger of Marathon, son, James Tessmer of Wausau, five grandchildren, one great grandchild and his brother Duane Tessmer.
Private family services were held.
