Gladys Bettin, 93, of Wausau, died Wednesday February 11, 2009 at North Central Health Care.
Gladys was born July 1, 1915 in the town of Maine to the late Ernest and Martha (Kleinschmidt) Gehrke. She married Ralph Bettin on September 26, 1936 in Wausau. Ralph preceded her in death on February 25, 1970. Gladys was a beautician at Pricilla Beauty Salon for many years and a teacher aide at St. Anne School.
Survivors include two daughters; Donna (Andrew) Krieg and Jeanne (Gary) Schuetz both of the town of Wausau, five grandchildren; John (Debbie) Klug, David (Michelle) Klug, Sara (Steve) Williams, Shelli (Bob Karl) Schuetz and Dan Schuetz, and nine great grandchildren. Gladys was a life long member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family.
Gladys was preceded in death by one daughter Kathryn, five brothers; Clarence, Norman, Larry, James and Lloyd, and two sisters; Adeline McDaniel and LaVern Johnson.
Funeral services will be at Noon on Saturday February 14, 2009 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. The Helke Funeral Home, Wausau assisted the family with arrangements.
