Gilbert was born
June 20, 1929

to the late Paul and Erna (Lodholz) Wilde.
He married Jean Splitt on
September 11, 1954
in
Wausau
. Gilbert started work as a plumber
for Grebe’s Plumbing, then worked for Malbrit Heating and Plumbing, and finally started his
own company, Acro Plumbing. Gilbert was always helping others, especially with plumbing and enjoyed spending his time at the cottage on
Crescent
Lake
with his family.
Survivors include his wife Jean of Wausau, four children; Deborah (Paul) Koceja of Wausau, Russell (Carolyn) Wilde of Wausau, Sandra (Jerry) Siewert of Wausau and Lisa (Gene) Bradley of Winter Garden,
Fla.
, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 brother William (Lorraine) Wilde of Wausau, and 4 sisters; Ruth (Elroy) Brandt of Wausau, Shirley (Elgart) Thurs of Athens, Jean (Dale) Wilde of Janesville and Virene (Arlis) Cramer of Wausau.
Gilbert was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be12:30 p.m.
