Florence Reinicke

February 2, 1916 — April 12, 2009

Florence Lillian Reinicke, 93, Wausau, died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.

Florence was born February 2, 1916 in Crystal Falls, MI to the late Morris and Linda (Dishuw) Butler. After graduating high school, Florence went on to beauty school getting her beautician’s license and later manager’s license. Florence married Earl Reinicke on June 10, 1939 in Wausau and the couple had two children, Patricia and Michael. Florence and Earl owned and worked together at Aladdin Beauty Salon and Cinderella Beauty Salon. The loving couple spent 69 wonderful years together before Earl’s death on March 6, 2009.

Florence was simply put, “the best”. She was a very kind and loving person who was very understanding and patient with everyone she met. In her free time, Florence enjoyed needlework and knitting. She was also very good at making rag rugs, a skill she learned from her mother. Florence was also raised and taught parakeets to talk. She had been a member of the Church of the Resurrection for over twenty years.

Florence is survived by her children, Patricia (Lyle) Pehlke of Appleton and Michael (Marcia) Reinicke of Wittenberg; two grandchildren; and many extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Neugabauer.
