Elvera Oelke

Elvera Oelke, 92, Wausau, went to her eternal home, September 8, 2010 at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital under the care of the Palliative Care Unit. She is survived by two sons, Donald Oelke, Sun City, AZ and Duane (Beverly) Oelke, Plymouth, MN; two grandchildren, Michelle Oelke, Plymouth, MN and Jeffrey (Megan) Oelke, Pequot Lakes, MN; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Ruth Oelke and Ella Marie Oelke, Pequot Lakes, MN; special niece, Joyce (Elton) Burish and their family, Marathon; two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Elvera is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur Oelke; parents, William and Sophia (Rehwinkel) Urban; 8 brothers and 3 sisters.
The family would like to specially thank the staff of Harmony Court and the clergy, staff and parishioners of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau for their support.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 13, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Gary Schultz will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Rib View Cemetery, Town of Stettin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran School or World Relief. All may be sent to 501 Stewart, Wausau, WI 54401.
