Dorothea Zuiker

Dorothea Luanne (O’Donnell) Zuiker, 86, of Wausau, Wisconsin, passed away at Mount View Care Center under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice on May 3, 2009. Her former husband Simon Zuiker, Minneapolis, MN survives as well as her children: Paul (Harriet) Zuiker, Rhinelander, WI, Kathryn (Russell) Gridley, Lee’s Summit, MO, Jon (Debbie) Zuiker, Centerville, VA, Jennifer (Ben) Anderson, Richfield, MN; grandchildren: Samantha Gridley Hoover, Andrew (Darcy) Gridley, Kerri Zuiker, William Zuiker, Tanisha Brooks; and great-grandson: Maddox Hoover. Her brother Patrick O’Donnell, Jr., Benton Harbor, MI also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Gladys O’Donnell; sisters, Barbara and Colleen; and son, Michael John. Dorothea was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wausau. Her family will remember her as a former beauty queen, professional dancer, mother, and friend, who possessed intelligence, wisdom, faith in God, and a bit of Irish blarney.
