Carol Seidler

March 2, 1932 — February 16, 2010

Carol Seidler, 77, of Wausau passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Marywood Convalescent Center.


She was born March 2, 1932 in the town of Dancy to the late Martin and Olga (Torgeson) Olson. On June 14, 1952, Carol married Melvin Seidler at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wausau. For many years Carol worked in the health care field as a nursing assistant at the old Wausau Hospital South on Grand Ave. and as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Colonial Manor, Wausau. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was involved in the Senior Luther League. She enjoyed crocheting and made all her grandchildren afghans.


Survivors include three daughters, Jean (David) Liebers of Downs, IL, Judith (Jerry) Nickolai of Birnamwood, Brenda (Dave) Kinnerk of Chicago, IL, 12 grandchildren, Bethany (Brock) Steck, Karla Liebers, Rachel (fiance-Joe Kamerer) Liebers, Andrea (Scott) Schafer, Garrett Peterson, Justin (Ashley) Nickolai, Joshua (fiancé-You Yang) Nickolai, Joel and Jorden Nickolai, Erin, Michael, and Maxwell Kinnerk, 3 great granddaughters, Hannah and Emma Steck, Adriana Fisher, sister-in-law, Virginia Olson, town of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by Melvin on August 29, 1992, her daughter, Becky Fisher, two sisters, Helen and Corrine, and three brothers, Gib and twin brothers, Clifford and Clifton.


Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Sean Motley will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
