Robert J. Mirek, 77, of Wausau passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 19, 2011.
Bob was born July 30, 1934 in Wausau to the late Edward and Bernadette (Pregont) Mirek. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Bob worked at Marathon Electric before retiring in 1998. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and archery.
Survivors include his two brothers, Donald and Russell (Anita) Mirek all of Wausau and five nieces, Wendy (Paul) Mergendahl of Wausau, Lori (John) Strand of Hudson, Jennifer (Bill) Schwede of Wausau, Theresa (Samuel) Grinder and Sharon Mirek of Wausau.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2011 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Father Steve Brice will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
