Bernice Fraedrich

April 30, 1921 — May 23, 2009

Bernice and Gerhard Fraedrich together again for eternity....

Bernice Hilda Fraedrich was born April 30, 1921 to Max and Martha Hartig and was one of eleven children. She passed away Saturday May 23, 2009 in Provo, Utah surrounded by her loved ones.

She was raised, educated and lived most of her life in the Wausau Wisconsin area. On December 9, 1939, she married her sweetheart and life companion Gerhard Fraedrich. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Minneapolis Temple for time and all eternity. They had three children, Raymond Fraedrich (Ann), Sherry Pillai (Ajit), and John Fraedrich (Debbie). Eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She had a great love for her Heavenly Father and was very active in her church, holding many different callings. She especially loved the little children and teaching them about the gospel and having a positive influence in their lives. Everyone that knew her would comment on how full of love her heart was. Compassionate service came naturally to her when people were in need.

She had many activities she enjoyed doing, oil painting, baking delicious treats, sewing a special quilt, gardening and seeing her flowers bloom into a beautiful garden. She loved her time spent "up north" with her many family members fishing and enjoying the outdoors.

Family was the most important thing to Bernice and she said it was her greatest blessing. She will be missed by all, but we know she and Jerry are together again and paving the way for us.

Her testimony of Jesus Christ and her life lessons will always be remembered in our hearts.

Family and friends are welcome to meet at the Helke Funeral Home Wednesday May 27, 2009 at 2pm and a grave side service will follow. Internment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery. (Wausau, WI)
