Avis Tessmer, 87, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012, under the care of Ministry Hospice at Walnut Grove Community in Wausau.
She is survived by four children, Jane Hannemann of Mosinee, Janet (Thomas) Hoffman of Kronenwetter, Glenn (Debra) Tessmer of Wausau, and Jeff (Chris) Tessmer of Schofield; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Avis was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin; and son, Jim.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Rib Mountain. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
